My name is Damon, and after reading a few of these forums I am glad to have signed up myself. I began surfing at a young age before 10 on the east coast in New Jersey. I grew up around a great influence in my Uncle and Aunt as well as my brother and spent a lot of my childhood surfing. As I got into my teen years I began to distance myself from the ocean and in turn surfing less often. Those years away I feel really hindered my progression. I am now 22 and having gotten back into surfing the past 2-3 years a lot more. I know now as an adult what I want my life long passion to be and that is surfing. I began traveling a lot more around this time and a lot of the destinations I focused around surfing (SOCAL, Puerto Escondido) and I just recently moved to Oahu 5 months ago. I feel that being here and surfing everyday has made me a better surfer, but on top of that I hope that learning outside of the water as much as surfing will help me grow even more. I look forward to posting and asking questions on here! Thanks for reading and hope the stoke rolls on for everyone.
