newb here!! i want to learn surfing but i don't know where to start.. comments?

Welcome Mr.worldplay...start with lessons at your local beach. If you get hooked and are keen to progress then visit the forum again and people will advise you as best as they can. Let the guys and gals on the forum know where you plan on surfing etc, perhaps they can point you to a surf school in the area.

There's plenty of information on this forum and in the learn to surf section of the site.
You'll get lots of help here with any questions you might have.
Take some lessons as still-learning suggests, hire a board and get out there, ask a surfing friend to take you our or lend you a board.
