FCS Single Fin Slots

Anyone else have issues putting a standard longboard fin into an 'FCS Single Fin Slot'?
All of my longboard fins have the pin in the front and seem a little too wide for the slot. But the fin that came with the FCS box has the pin in the back (if that matters) and seems to have a narrower/lower profile than a standard fin does near the pin. Compare with the 4A in the pic below.. didnt fit.
But the info online says its compatible with the 'FCS Effect Fin' which sounds really similar to the FCS II Tool-less longboard fins that work with the regular Fins Unlimited Bahne boxes.
Wasnt sure if the box on my board might just be more narrow than the norm?

Did you install the FCS center fin box by yourself ?

Nah that was the box & fin that came with the board unfortunately. I've read that some of the older Bahne boxes needed to be routed to slightly widen them but it seems strange to find that issue on a very modern box. The one i have is way more than snug.. my other fins dont slide more than an inch or two past the drop in slot

It’s strange that the manufacturer used a FCS center box in combination with Futures Fins side boxes.

True maybe it was during the shortages
