Electric Fins

One short push of the button allows the motor to run for eight seconds, to help the surfer propel into waves; a longer push, used to get out to the line up, goes for 30 seconds. In the final version, times can be adjusted via an app. The cost for the electric fin? $199.

What do you think of this?

While I can see the benefit for people with disabilities, overall it's a terrible idea. People who are mentally and physically unfit to deal with etiquette, shoredump, rips, chop, shoals, and heavier waves will be a danger to themselves and others.

BoMan worthwhile discussion and we had a pretend poster on a while pretending to be interested in motor fins etc,,but his motorvation (pardon the pun) was to spam us with links to his website.

I hope he doesn’t reincarnate!
And as always it isn’t the surfcraft etc , but the D head on them!
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun! 冲浪爷爷

Boostsurf guy was very deceptive and rude. I'm not sure what his role in the company is, but on other SNS, there is a similar Boost marketing guy being as rude to other commentors. He once said " Okay, Boomer " referring to the the older age of a person commenting.

I can tell you this, if someone has that electric fin and "out paddles" people constantly at my local break, you are going to see the fin slowly working it's way out to sea all by itself with no board attached to it.

I am pretty sure you sacrifice performance for those fins. So what do you want a boost or a better performing board? Obviously a newbie tool, something to get newbies on waves they should not have caught. Maybe good for someone like me with an injury however I would have to be pretty injured before I would consider one and then on a longboard that I intend to ride fairly straight.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
