How much did it cost you to....

Postby SoCalSurfing » Mon Feb 20, 2012 10:09 pm

So my long board has small dings and cracks all around. From what I can see it doesn't look very serious.

If I wanted to get them repaired, what is the range I should be expecting to pay for that?

If you have had "normal" repair done, how much did you pay?

What things should I know about the cracks before I go in?

What can I expect him to say and how do I know if I'm getting ripped off!? :ninja:

Thanks!
Surfing is not about standing up.
It's about the board - moving on the wave.
Standing up just happens to help.

Post a picture, a lot of cracks are cosmetic (not nice looking but don't let in water.
Others need fixing we can't tell without a picture.
A sort of rule of thumb is if you can flick or click it ( the crack that is) i probably needs fixing.
If the foam is yellow it's letting in water.
Old boards are also yellowing due to UV on foam.

Go and talk to several repair shops and find out what the going rate is in your area, learn to fix them yourself.
Ignore them if they are not bad. You choose
