This can happen for a number of reasons and is due to ip address security checking. Here are a few examples of things that can cause the error
- You have a dynamic ip address. It's reported on various forums that this happens particularly to AOL users but it's not limited to AOL. It may just be your ISP.
- You are using some form of web accelerator.
- You are browsing through a proxy server.
- You are using some web anonymity software.
If an ip change happens when you still have an active session on the forum then the forum software can assume you are not posting as the same user, and puts up this session error message.
There is a small change that can be made to the forum software but this opens up a potential security issue so I won't be making the change.
When you start getting this error you could try to log out, delete all your cookies and then log back in again.
If you are using web accelerator software, browsing through a proxy server or using anonymity software - don't
Do you use Firefox?
Anyone else having this problem?
There have not been any changes to the forum software for a while so it's not something that has caused it )
