Who can see this?

I've just clicked on it and seen my email address in here, can anyone see this? (I've taken it out now). I've no problems with owners of forums knowing who I am but don't want any pleb on the net getting my details.

Could someone explain any privacy on this before I fill any of it in please?


Also what is my rating for here? As it is 339 I imagine that's how many people said I was fist choice as god father for their first born!

Hi Pol,

Don't worry - your email address is not viewable to anyone. You can only see this when viewing your own profile details when logged on and no-one but you has access to this page.

Take a look at https://surfing-waves.com/profiles/surf%20patrol and you will see the public information.

The is in your profile because you can now register on the main site (and need a valid email address) and this address is used for a forgotten password email.
If you have a myspace or facebook account that you want to show these will be available to the public.

Everything you do on the site adds to your rating. It's like the forum ranking really but site wide. If you have posted on the forum or added pictures already then you will see a ranking.

Also bare in mind that your email address is shown on your posts on the forum if you have the show email address option checked. (Check your forum profile for details). This is not shown to anyone who is not logged on though.
