forum link

Hey thought it might be cool to move the forum link on the index page for surfing-waves.com up a bit so that it is right below the Home link off to the left that way it is easier to spot by people just passing by.

just a thought

There will be more exposure to the forum from the main site once the new stuff is live. The changes will hopefully start to get more of a community vibe going throughout.

(I think someone mentioned the forum link previously)

Things are almost done now. Just some fixes to make sure everything works as it should. The surf spot map section - how the whole thing got started - is looking pretty good. Hopefully people will get posting some spots once things are live.
It will probably be some time in the new year when I have a nice free stretch.

What do you program in? the new stuff is written OOP(hp5)/mysql/ajax/js. I taught myself php but am now having to get my head around this object stuff.

How's your graphics skills? - mine suck. A few banners advertising the forum that I can put on the main site would be cool, that goes for anyone who would like to help out.

^^i am always down to help.

I suck at programming.. I am more into design and not too much with the mechanics.. although I want to be.

I can do some PHP thats about it.

If you'd like I can put together some surfing-waves.com banners.

Nice one about the banners greg. That would be great when you have some spare time.

definitely man.

What kind of style do you want them in? Like what market? Would they be to advertise the site on other sites or just on this site?

Just this site at the moment. I will put them into the banner rotation on the main site to attract people who have not come directly to the forum pages. Would you like me to send you the Photoshop file with the text style used for the surfing waves travel banners?
