Uploading Videos

Postby Real Pol » Thu Jun 12, 2008 6:53 pm

Sorry this isn't so much feedback as a help request.

I've got a video I want to upload to the website, it's not copyrighted or anything, but I have no idea to reduce its size. I only have it in DVD format and when I copy it to my computer it is a VOB file which I can only get to work on DivX. Currently it is almost 1GB.

Any help to get it down to <200MB?

Should I download something like Ulead so I can chop if up a bit and try and keep the quality?

Is there an easy way to do this?

Cheers!

No my mate edited it and gave me a copy on DVD. I just want to be able to reduce the size to bung it on this site.

I also have it on my facebook page, which I nicked off his, but you can't seem to copy that to other websites or on to your computer.

Okay, thanks again, but WTF!?!

Basically I want to show you guys me snowboarding last year, the new video of us from this year is getting premiered in a couple of weeks, (the bloke who edits them lives in Russia and only shows them when he comes over). Does any one know how to take a clip from facebook and copy it onto a website? I copied it from my mates page on to mine, but you can't seem to copy onto something else other than facebook.

Computers ain't straight forward!

I'm really struggling here, I'm not that computer literate
