So, some TLC, a couple of trips to home depot, about 5 coats of green fluorescent paint on the nose and it was ready. Then I did an old-timers trick: I put about 2 bars of wax on it (and like they do I'll just claim I like a lot of grip lol) and it looks almost, well, rideable.
I don't need the board, but I can already tell my friends will be the better for it, I'll teach them to surf and won't mind if they bang it up some, the board should last forever. I totally dig that I got it for cheap and it will be super durable.
