Not on quick enough

Postby Hamo » Sun Jul 21, 2019 5:07 am

Hi
When the surf starts working and is around 4-6ft I go to my hpsb it’s a Newcastle surf design shaped for me.
It’s 64x18.5x2.5 I know I’m to slow getting into waves when it’s fast and sucking I am currently 90kg and I’m pretty sure I was 80kg when got it
I really want to stay at 64” and 18.5 wide so wondering what thickness I should go.

Go too fat on the thickness and you won't be able to engage the rail, you'll have even more trouble sliding out on the steeper face.
18.5" wide is pretty narrow, I would go over 19" for a 6'4"
What length wide thickness your surf buddies getting on with ?

Change your fins to something that releases easier for you. What size fins are you using?
