Emergency!!, is it safe to get the board from shippping???

Hi guys, i need to know this asap.

I just bought a surfboard. is it safe for my friend to mail to me? or
i should go pick it up but is 300 miles drive.

I think so or else it would be their fault and you could complain and get them to pay the fixing costs. Dont worry about it. Does your buddy have a travel bag for it??

It's very hit and miss. Make sure the board is packed very well. Fins removed if possible, if not then they need to be protected. You can use blocks of polystyrene foam for this.
Then most importantly upon collection, sign NOTHING until you have inspected the board for damage. If it is damaged you sign for it as DAMAGED. If you don't do this you won't be able to claim on any insurance you might have.
