Surfing in Guatemala

Guatemala is one of the countries in Central America featured on our surf map. It is bordered by surf mecca Mexico to the north and west, the swell machine Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, and Honduras and El Salvador to the southeast. It's capital, and largest city, is Guatemala City.

It's population is approaching 13.5 million and it's currency is the Quetzal.

Guatemala is not that well known as a surf destination but is becoming more and more popular, although there is not the huge variety of accessible surf spots that can be found in other Central American countries.
