General Description

Longest power wave in El Salvador. Surfable from 2 to 15 feet. Breaks with consistency in the winter, from March - October. During this period only recommended for intermediate and advanced surfers. During the summer, from November - February it can be a family wave for beginners. Ideal for Stand Up Paddle.

How to get there

From the International Airport take the coastal highway going to El Cuco, in San Miguel province. About 140 kms, 3 hour drive. Paved road ends at El Cuco. From El Cuco drive about 3 kms in the unpaved road going to Punta Mango.

Toro de Oro is technically a public beach located in a private 700 hacienda. Access is free, but need to ask for permission. Walking or horse riding is required for about 1/2 kilometer

Go to El Majahue beach break, about 1/2 a kilometer away.
