Located in the Manuel Antonio National Park, called "Playitas". The main peak, and busiest peak is a right. If your in the sand facing the water, a left comes out behind the big rock which almost never has anyone on it. Wave can get super heavy at times and the locals are not too agro. Extra leashes, fins, and board shorts to give out can get you some waves.
Get to Quepos town and from there drive like 10 to 12 mile to get to Manuel Antonio Park, you can ask to any body around, the people is very nice, "Pura Vida"
A lot of Hotels around, is a tourist place, restaurant and services, Bus transportation sucks, more in vacation season
Access by foot, 1 mile aprox walking in the beach from parking lot. If you take the bus from Quepos to MA (20 min) for around $.50, then hike all the way to North end of beach, you can't miss it, or you'll hit a rock wall.
Get on a 45 min bus ride to Dominica, 20 minute drive if you have a car/taxi. MA doesn't pick up a lot of swell because its so sheltered, so there is almost always some waves going off in other areas nearby. There is also a really good beach break, super close but off the beaten path, no more than 4 people at any given time, and always bigger, but that's my spot haha.
