Scarbs extends south from Triggs. It is mainly a sandy bottom beach break. Occasionally with the right wind, swell, tide, sandbank and weather conditions "Scarbs" can be good. However most of the year is is small, sloppy and closes out. Crowds are always insane, mostly kooky learner surfers who will drop in on you, pull into set waves and fall off etc.
Worth a check, but don't get your hopes up.
Take any exit off northern freeway towards the coast, e.g. cedric st. Drive up Scarb Beach road and you will see all the apartment buildings and the sun dial etc. Turn right at the lights and then first left at the next lights which will take you to the northern car park which is closer to the better banks.
Free parking, plenty of it. Can get packed on weekends or events.
There's lots in the area, beware they all take their learner surfers here to practise, so you constantly have to dodge them.
Go down south, hit the pub, or stay at home and play Xbox.
