Best place to stay on the island is Aura Surf Resort. Their knowledge of the island and waves is unrivaled. Best location and food by far. They have 2 speed boats, bikes and cars to get you to all the different waves. Best wave on the island is straight out the front of the camp.
No shops must bring all own gear.
Aura can cater for learners and groups of beginners. There are waves all year. Nov and December are the low months. But from January onwards has awesome conditions.
The surf is never flat. occasionally it drops to 1 to 2 feet but this is very rare. It is usually between 3ft to 6ft. And winds are light and variable usually. Sometimes can get storms but this usually passes within a few hours leaving glassy conditions. www.aurasurfresort.com
