This surf spot has been called the surfing equivalent of a skate park. 'Maccas' endless perfection grinding mechanically across the reef will make any surfer think they can turn pro.
The best conditions to surf this spot are: mid tide, from 2 foot to 8 foot in an east to south east wind
Macaronis was once an empty wave that travelling surfers would die for. With the increasingly popularity of surf charters it is seeing an increasingly busy line-up.
You can either stay at the Macaronis resort or take a charter boat out - a great way to get to the surf.
Macaronis now has a resort but is a more expensive way to stay. There are a number of charters that run regular trips to this break and others in the area.
Access is normally by boat.
