BELLS BEACH, Victoria (Saturday, April 11, 2009) – The Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach presented by is back on with Round 2 hitting Bells Beach in two foot (0.7 metre) surf at 11am.
Event No. 2 of 8 on the 2009 ASP Women’s World Tour, the Rip Curl Women’s Pro will look to complete Rounds 2 and 3 today to set up a possible finish for tomorrow.
“The conditions today aren’t ideal but given the swell forecast for the remainder of the women’s waiting period, we’re looking at some of the best we’re going to have and we’ll be starting with Round 2 at 11am,” Damien Hardmen, Rip Curl Pro Contest Director, said. “There are still some contestable waves coming through and we’re looking to complete both Round 2 and Round 3.”
Up first will be Heat 1 of Round 2 featuring Melanie Bartels (HAW), 26, Coco Ho (HAW), 17, and Nikki Van Dijk (AUS), 14.
