ARUGAM BAY, Sri Lanka (Tuesday, August 30, 2011) - The SriLankan Airlines Pro has been called on this morning with the Men's ASP World Longboard Tour surfers the first to take to the 2 - 3 foot (1.5 meter) surf at Arugam Bay for a 7:30 start.

"It's small, but the way the waves hug the point here is incredible," said Contest Director Dane Jordan. "We will be running 30 minute heats so the surfers will have plenty of opportunity to get some scores on the little runners."

The surf is expected to be in the 1 -3 foot range for the next few days, but is predicted to rise for an epic finish on the weekend.

The event will be webcast live on www.srilankanairlinespro.com
