DEE WHY, New South Wales/Australia (Tuesday, May 3, 2011) - Huey has delivered for the world's elite female surfers competing in the Commonwealth Beachley Classic, with powerful two-meter waves dredging off Dee Why Point this morning.

The Commonwealth Beachley Classic, the richest event on the 2011 ASP Women's World Title season (boasting a mammoth US$40,000 first place prize), will get underway at 8.00am and will run through Rounds 1 and 2 of competition this morning with the possibility of Round 3 underway this afternoon.

"It is so satisfying to see perfect four-to-six foot (one-and-a-half to two-meter) SE swell coming through Dee Why Point and I know its going to be an excellent start for the girls this year," Layne Beachley (AUS), Contest Director and former seven times ASP Women's World Champion, said. "We've got a really good solid window of swell coming through the whole waiting period so its going to be a challenging for me to pick the yes out of the best part of all the swell, which is a great position to be in and you can't believe how grateful I am to Huey right now."

The first heat in the water will see Hawaiian Coco Ho, 20, right at home in the over-head surf when she takes on former ASP Women's World Champion Sofia Mulanovich, 27, (PER) and Rebecca Woods, 26, (AUS) in Round 1.
