The Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships brings together the world's best young surfing talent in an international event. The event provides the kids with an opportunity to represent their countries in an international competition and the chance to win the coveted and prestigious world title. This year's top ranking national team will be awarded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President's Trophy. At last year's World Junior Surfing Championships in Papenoo, Tahiti, the USA Surf Team secured a solid silver medal finish, just behind the Australian team. They hope to better their record this year on their home turf.
