HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Friday, March 18, 2011) - Courtney Conlogue (Santa Ana, CA), 18, mainland America's only ASP Women's World Tour surfer, has just marched to an impressive runner-up finish behind Hawaiian Coco Ho (HAW), 19, at the ASP 6-Star Legendary Pacific Coast Pro at Merewether Beach in Newcastle, Australia.

Conlogue continuously dispatched several of surfing's finest female talent in route to her second place result, topping former ASP Women's World Champion Sofia Mulanovich (PER), 27, Australian veteran Rebecca Woods (AUS), 26, and fellow ASP Dream Tour rookie Tyler Wright (AUS), 16, before falling short of the event win to Ho in the Final.

"I'm pretty happy to make the Final in the first 6-star of the season," Conlogue said. "It's a lot better than I did last year. I'm happy to start the year this way and hopefully I can keep the ball rolling and keep improving."

Conlogue, who finished 9th in her ASP Women's World Tour debut at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, will be back in Australia to take on the world's best surfers at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, which holds a waiting period from April 19 through 25, 2011.

Also putting in an impressive performance at the Legendary Pacific Coast Pro was Santa Barbara regular-footer Lakey Peterson (USA), 16, who earned an equal 9th place finish overall.
