New Guy...

Postby BrownDogWilson » Tue Jun 06, 2006 4:53 pm

What up people? Obviously I am new here,,,I am not a big talker but I do like to post photos for all to see....I usually do motocross pics but seeing that the beach is a half mile from my house I have begun to take surf pics for fun now too. I live in Huntington Beach and most of my pics will be of the guys on the HB Surf Team,,,I hope you don't mind seeing my pics. The guys over on the moto boards seem to enjoy them, but I just felt the need for people who surf to see them and to get your feedback on them too.....Thanks!

You know, it's fuuny. I think I walked down our pier about three or four times in 25 years, and it one of the things our city is famous for, and I used to go in the water back when I was a kid, but I never got hooked to it. I ended up playing some tennis as a kid which eventually paid for college and then I played pro for a while before settling down. Now that I have been watching so much I have been getting the bug to paddle out myself, so I am sure it won't be long. And I will reduce the size for you too if it helps....how is this? This is the #1 kid from Huntington Beach High yesterday...

Great pictures! Did you take them from the pier?

Also, the 5 from the bottom, what in the world is that red thing in there right under the guy's board?

That is actually another photographer in the water and that is his camera,,,,the kid is Brett Simpson,,,,I guess he is one of the next great things,,,,he was doing a shoot for something,,,so I just benefitted from his tricks from a different angle,,,,and yes,, I shot these from the pier..

The pier there is great for pics, as the wave breaks in the middle, so you can get frontside or backside pics. Was over there for sunset the other day, but haven't uploaded my pictures yet.
North side or south side? It looks north to me.

I think i was just looking at the last one, looking back I can see that the first ones were from the south side.
They're all great pics though. What kind of camera are you using? Lenses?
