Hey all

Names Darren and i thought i would introduce myself to everyone on the forum as i have been gathering loads of advice and little golden nuggets of wisdom on loads of little things that i had being having trouble with.

I have only really been surfing about 3-4 months but live a good distance from the shore so ive only really had about 3 really good sessions.

I had been learning on a 6 foot 7 bic board and got the hang of it really quickly, clean pop up and can go straight. yay. Troube is the board ist my own. Handy thing tho is that my girlfriens brother is a shaper (how handy :D) and from reading through the forum you guys were recomending a fish from a start of point of view.

Im roughly 6 foot tall and im 140 lbs

so what kind of dimensions would you recomend for me?

when i get my own board ill be surfing almost constantly :D and start working on angeling down the wave and bottom turning.

Thanks all

DG

PEACE

Um, I think you may have misunderstood all the fish threads.... :?

Fish are completely unsuitable for a beginner.

If you get a fish you are going to have a real hard time. If you read through other post for a beginer and that is where you are going straight ahead go with a minmall to a long board.

I learned on a 6"8 board, i think its great to learn on something smaller and not as hard as every1 makes it out to be.
