Ok this may not be new but I would like to know your opinion on where I should start my training and why. (Course for a week)

Option 1 Newquay UK
Option 2 Cocoa Bay Florida
Option 3 Ft Walton Beach Florida

Any better Ideas for a Sep/Oct start??

I'd recommend these people -

http://www.britsurf.co.uk/html/bsa_surf_school.asp
http://www.nationalsurfingcentre.com/

(same school, the second link has more info though).

It's right on the beach, I think it was £30 for a 2 1/2 hour lesson. I had my first lesson with them a few weeks ago and I'm just practising the stuff I learnt on my own now. Will probably go back to them for an improver lesson but will see how I progress on my own first.

Best place to start is where you are right now... assuming waves are available of course.

Start by getting wet, continue by getting in as often as you can.

If you want some lessons in Briighton, give Cliff Cox a call. He does one on one lessons, is a really good surfer and all round top bloke, either Small Planet surf shop in Hove or Filf in Brighton will have his number.
