BOARD HELP PLEASE!

Hiya ppl!

I am 15 years old and started surfing last year. After having gone out a number of times im really enjoying it and want to get my own board. I need some advice tho please! I am about 5'6" and "average build!!" (not really thin, but not overweight!) I am just looking for a board I can mess around on but won't be too expensive OR too rubbish to use! I don't really need to know particular brand or board names, but just:
1. approx board length
2. approx board width
3. best board material

u probarly want something between 6'2'' and 6'8''
and about 19'1/2'' thick
nigel semmens of oceanmagic makes the best boards
