Duck dive is hard hut as long as you're willing to learn, you'll get into it..

basically any long and highly bouyant board is going to be hard to duckdive even with proper technique. Thin shortboards are much easier. A pointed nose is generally much easier as well compared to a rounded nose board. If you're a small grom on a 6'8'' NSP, it might be a little challenging. Just read about the technique and keep practicing.

If you've read up on the proper form and have been attempting it for a while, then chances are it's not you, but you're board.

I also have a 6'8" NSP, and sometimes I can manage to get past a wave, but most of the time, I just get trashed. Yesterday I used a friend's 6'0" shortboard, and I had no problems duck-diving, I felt like a dolphin. Riding it is another story.
