Probably.
It could probably just about be done (and someone will inevitably be on in just a minute to say they could do it...) but it would be very difficult for someone your size with that board.
There's all kinds of ways of getting out back, but the easiest is the route you take. If there's a rip, use it. If there's a heavy impact zone, dont paddle directly through it.

Echoiing above
It is possible to duck just about anything but its probably going to take a lot of practise.
Perfect the dreaded art of turtling mixed in with using rips and good timing and you will do fine.

Simple answer: Yes. Too big to duck dive.
Best way is to time yer paddling; wait in water shallow enough to stand in for a gap between bigger sets and then paddle like crazy.
EDIT: Maybe not the best way, but that's the best way I know of.

Easy!
But then I am 6'1" (it's morning) and 84kg...
And I am used to duck diving a 9'6" mal
