i read in a acient wave length mag that once you've lernt to ride a wave straight to the beach you should the try and take off in the same directionas the wave is breaking in stead of straight towards the beach so you can surf the wave in front of the white water and was wondering if i should try this.

probly not very clear any help will be aprechated

Yes. Try this. Its the next step.

Simple really... paddle... and take off... at an angle

Not much of an angle though, you dont want the wave to be hitting you sideways on. So just do it gradual like.

Exactly. Take off at angles. It will also help greatly so you don't pearl.

Often at beach breaks, if you angle enough on your pop-up, you won't even have to bottom turn.
