OK, Im sure I've stated this in other parts of the board, but anywho. I live in Port St. Lucie Florida. I've been looking around in places that have good surf spots around here, I've heard of a few in Stewart, Jensen Beach and Ft. Pierce. OK on the my question though, what exactly are swells, what causes them, and how do I track them or like how do I know when there are going to be good waves to surf on? Is the a website that can show me swells and whether the breezes are onshore offshore and etc?? I'm pretty much a nub here wanting to learn all I can. Wait, that'd be a grommet eh? :P

swells caused by wind blowing across the sea the greater the wind the bigger the swell it creates as for knowing when theres gonna be surf its not easy to predict i normaly use a local website that offers upto date surf forcasts, might be worth searching the net to see if you can find a site that will offer surf forcasts for your local break
