NSP vs. handshaped anything?

Well, today was Victory at sea in the gulf... sucked... anyways, i got a 7'6 NSP and can't duck dive, can't even manuever hardly at all. so. i was wondering if i should think about buying something fiberglass and handshaped and a little shorter as well. any help would be fantastic!

A 7'6" NSP is going to be a mare to duckdive unless your huge.

I assume from the question & NSP your a bigginer/amatuer?

Size, weight,ge & skill level & where you surf/types of breaks may help.

for a beginer the diff between a popout and a handcrafted is not going to make much of diff. But when you are fairly competant it makes a big diff.

If you're quite reasonable at popping up and rding the face, you'll find a shorter fiberglass board a lot easier to learn to turn on that an NSP of that size, but you need to consider the wave size you usually get, because you need more skill to stay on a small wave with a short board than on your current NSP.

yeah, i knew it would make some difference, i just didnt really know how much of one. i would like to get a 6'6 but dont want to waste time and money on it. i've been surfing for roughly 2 and 1/2 months. i can pop up and ride just fine for the most part, except on bigger waves, i tried head highs + and that was kinda tough. i also live in gulf coast fl. so it's a beach break.

If you "can pop up and ride just fine", then what does "can't even manuever hardly at all" mean?
