Surfers in Scarborough, UK

Hi,

Are there any surfers in the Scarborough area that fancy giving me lessons? See it as pocket money.

There's 1 school there (very friendly) but charges £20 to £25 / hr. I had a few lessons, but with 8 in a group I had literally 5 minutes tuition. It's stupid money, and I can't afford that.

Let me know if anyone's interested.

Cheers,

Drew

There are a few on here who surf Scarborough way.
If you have already had a few lessons you will know the basics, its just a case of getting as much time in the water as possible.

Practicing pop ups on the floor at home will help too.

Thanks, I'll do that. I'm not puny built, but after a few tries, I find it difficult to "pop up" on to the board in the water. My arms just give way.

I do know the basic, but still struggle to stay up for loger than about a total of 1 second. I'm like, "Hey, Debs, look at meeeesdfre&...."

Still no one want to offer lessons? £15 per lesson?
