skateboarding will help with your balance a bit but besides doing 360s not really because you can't ollie a surfboard or kickflip it or shuv it, at least no one has yet anyways. Unless you carve on ur skateboard a lot it probably won't assist you much more than that to be honest, just balance, of course on a skateboard you don't have to balance back and forth as much, just side to side. If you want a board out of the water that would help try and indo board or a wave board or a long board. Snowboarding is good too in my experience, at least from what i've learned since I started last summer.
