I have only a small hyundai excell hatchback which is only 2 doors and doesn't accommodate roof racks.

Do you think it matters getting a board that is small enough fit in my car when I'm only learning or would you discourage it.

Should I be looking into getting a mini mal and leaving it at a friends house who lives near the beach? I would love to be able to take my board in my car up and down the coast though.

Hey you're doin better than I am, I havent even got a car! despite this it probably not a good idea to get a board thats small enough to fit in your small car because it's easiest to learn on a bigger board. Ypu should try a minimal until you get a but better and then get a smaller board to go around in your car. If you do that you should hang n to your minimal because it may come in useful if the surf is fairly flat>.

Learn on a minimal

Learn on the minimal - just make sure that you get the keys to your mate's place!
On second thoughts - get a surf wagon.

Hi

Do the back windows open at all - even just a crack? If they do you could get a handi-rack inflatable roofrack - it straps through the car so it will fit anything.

I really wouldn't advise getting a board under 7ft to learn on.

If you can open the back doors, let me know and I'll find the link to the place I bought my handi-rack (c£20 instead of the recommended £65)

Cheers
