Ok s what would the best beach (crowed or not ) be to have lessons

Saunton sands just round the corner from croyde would be a safe bet. It's huge and you'll be able to get away from the crowds.

yh, saunton sands is great to learn on, and it sperfet for longboarding, nice slow mellow waves

Dunnet Bay just outside Thurso!

I learnt there, it's better than any suggestions of places in the south west of England*

It'll just be you and your instructor on a huge beach with fantastic waves, (it may be slightly chilly).



*(I cannot back this statement up as I've never been down there)

I agree. RP some of the most consistent swell, apart from Ireland, probably the best wave in the UK, (worthy of a 6* WQS) only trouble is the hike up there.
Got a few friends who did the trip, and man is their footage good.


I can't back the statement either, but i've surfed the SW, and most of the rest of the UK, and the only place i aint surfed is Scotland. The SW is overrated. apart from the slightly more consistent swell it recieves, its a pile of poo.
