westsuits (??)

Postby heatherm » Thu Jun 24, 2004 4:39 am

I'm interested in buying a wetsuit for my boyfriend for is b-day, but I'm useless, because I have no idea what to look for or prices. I can really only spend 200 (CAN), but it's gotta be warm enough for the water up in BC. I'm not sure if I couldeven buy second hand, or if my price range is too low for even that. If nayone could give me a hand in would be much appreciated. Thanks

My advise is if your buying him a wetsuit, he will appreciate it much more if you take him along with you. The key to a good wettie is the fit.
For colder waters you need more thickness, wetsuits these days are pretty good and you can surf in the coldest parts of the world

My wetsuit was about 400 canadian dollars but im from rip off britain, that was an oneill 5/3 heat. I can last a good couple of hours on the east coast of britain in winter

A second hand one is an option but again you need to see whether it fits, check for seams coming apart, UV damage
