heh.. never even seen anyone surfing (that i can remember) lived in florida till last jan but was always on the gulf (dont think theres any surf there) anywho was wondering, when ya catch a wave do you ride it all the way to shore or do ya get off it at some point?

im sure its somethin id see when i do finnaly get to the beach but that may be awhile because till i getta job i cant get my van ;\

most people try to avoid riding all the way to the beach if they can help it unless they are actually coming in. why? very simple. PADDLING. surfing is at least 90% paddling and only 10% catching waves so if you can avoid a huge paddle every time you catch a wave, then all the better!

plus you can make a mess of the bottom of your board by riding it into shore - there's often rocks and stones around to put a nice big juicy ding in there.
