Welcome.

There is a great tutorial for learining how to surf on this site. https://surfing-waves.com/surfing_lesson_one.htm it is the same site that you are posting on. 21 is still young. I have friends who are 40 and just learning.

i'm 1,75m tall and have 66kg and my board is a second hand 6'8'' town & country, is it good for me to learn?

You will find it a lot easier to learn by starting out on a 8 to 10 foot board first. Surfing is not as easy as it appears as you will be finding out tomorrow. But once you get the bug it will drive you crazy to get back in the water for the next session.

a 6'8" for you is a fine size. You will be able to use a lot of from skateboarding, balance-wise. the feel is a bit different, but you should be able to translate between skateboarding and surfing.

thx a lot for the posts!

been almost addicted this week, my arms are almost falling lol..
still haven't found allways the right timming to catch a wave but i was already been able to stand up for 4 times but i cannot get much speed, after been pulled by the wave i stand up and i stay almost in the same place for a second or two before falling lol..maybe it's my foot position but i will continue to try ;]
now i'm giving all the credit to all of you because now i know that surf is hard! lol but it will be so great when i evolve in wave catching!

cheers!

Keep your feet spread apart. Too much leaning back or weight on the tail end of the board will stall you and make you stop. New surfers tend to lean on the back tail. Also, from skateboarding, you're probably used to being more heavy-footed on the back foot. Lean on your front foot a touch more.

thx a lot! maybe that's why for some times the board was "shot" foward as i fell backwards (sorry bout my bad-english lol).. gonna try it tomorrow ;]
