can somebody give me a good site for some boards and board design. i have rented out afew diffrent boards now (moved to cape town and stay not far from the sea. i can t afford a board so we use his) i have used an 8 a 7 10 and a 7 6. but when i go far out i find it very hard to turn my board to face the beach and catch the wave somtimes i get caught sideways and flip. does any1 else have the same problem or is it me. some1 help. thanx

The trick to turning a longer board to face the beach is to move nearer to the back of the board so the the board goes nearer vertical, if you are trying to turn the board while it is laying flat on the water you will have major problems. You should then be able to pivot round far easier with half the board out of the water and the other half under you. A bit of practice is all you'll need.

i always sit on the board with it running parallel to the wave face, then just grab the end with one hand and whip it around quarter turn

thanks that works. i can staand and catch waves and turn both ways. i just wondered what size board do i use now. the smallest i have gone is a 7 2. any advice.
