the best warm water lessons?

Two adults after somewhere warm to learn surfing this October - complete novices. Any recommendations? Anywhere considered....
Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

dpends on two main factors

1- where are you living

2- how much money you got to spend.

Phuket, Phuket, Phuket.

Its constantly 28C in the water..and the surf is sweet here in October.

There are no real surf schools, but there are shops that offer lessons.

We live in Scotland just now - would be prepared to travel anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere.

And we'd want to spend up to £1000 each.

Just found the errantsurf.com's portugal surf schools - peniche and sagres - anyone know if these are good for a first time surfing & if it'll be warm there in October?

Like I said..Phuket is in the northern hemisphere. And its cheap flights. CHeap accomodation and cheap living.

Hawaii, any island, though I don't know the cost of travel from the UK, accomodations can be inexpensive, or you can just bring a tent and camp on the beach.
