Hey im 18 and i got my surfboard - a 7'6 minimal and have been surfing quite a lot recently. I can stand up pretty quickly and ride up the beach. I never really fall off now which is gd :) But what would be the next step? Would I try to trim the waves or maybe go out deeper cos at the minute im still able to touch down?I also find it kinda hard to paddle out and it takes ages. Any advice would be great! Thanx :D

where do you surf? and are these whitewater waves you've been learning on, or green waves?

try experimenting with turning your board too, see how it responds...

Surely handstands should be next on your list.

then youre not trying hard enough :P

watch other people, go for moves youve seen them doing, fall off, try again, get better.

next step is perfecting what you know and trimming the wave. Like others have said if your not falling off then you arnt making progress  that sounds really werid

Ps - doing backflips off your board is really a fun way to bail mind you dont bump your head though
