Surfing Waves

Greetings from a once-in-a-while surfer from the cold waters of Oregon. I live in Sutherlin, but usually get wet at Winchester Bay.
I was recently given an old board from about 1960-1963. It's a Harbour board from Seal Beach, Cal, and is 9'9" long. Condition is fair...not broken up, just aged, yellowish, a little de-lamination around the label. and some shrinkage on one side near the edge. The fin is single, and quite large, but undamaged.
Question? Should I just put this thing back in the water, or is it of more value to sell to a collector. I'm not looking to make bucks, just do the right thing. I would also consider a trade for a malibu pop-out of about the same length. I have other boards, but being in the last half of my 50's I'm working toward longer boards and smaller waves.

seriously any board in rideable condition from that period would be valuable,....

I have a suggestion. You could donate it to me!! I have been looking for a long board to learn on!! I live in Huntington Beach (just moved here in March from the Chicago area), really really close to seal beach, and always walk by their store in seal beach Those boards are sweet, I'd love to get one, but I'm just learning to surf, and can't afford those things.

I could pay ya for the shipping!! but that's about it :(
pretty sad, but at least then i'd have a board, that's about all i can afford to spend on a board. sucks.

I would say sell it to a collector. I think surf shops might want it as decoration. The idea of trading it for a new longboard seems great. I have a Fish that´s from the 70's probably and made by Rico, witch is a very famos guy from those times here in Brazil. A shaper offered me a used board of his (in great conditions) for this board. Should woirf for you too.
