hey i need some help poping up on a 6'6 shortbaord first board ever. was given it and dont have the money for a new one im 5'10. i can do everything but pop up have got to my knees but the i fall off.

Never go to your knees. If you ever get up doing the knee thing you will be lucky. Practice your popup's on the floor.

Am I the only weirdo who gets up sometimes rear foot first? Seems most newbs I see get their front foot up first? I know they should both go up together , and given the right conditions they normally do, but when its rough or 'big' I seem to get lazy and slack and go back to rear foot first...weird...

^^ nope, I get on back foot first also. I also skateboard Mongo, so im used to having the left foot down first then swinging the front foot over and on the board. I think theres no right way, just whatever your comfy with.
