https://www.surfer.com/videos/duckdive-like-john-john/In this video, the board still had the fins installed.
My 6'4" NSP Fish has 40.2 liters of volume and I can duck dive it at 5'3" 57 kilos. ( but only under a single wave, not a pool length )

I had to close and open this topic…..was looking for the big board. 32L should be manageable; YouTube Amir vids, there are hundreds. Tq n the end you push the board under the oncoming wave, reposition and paddle again.

Could you explain how you are currently duck diving ? If we don't know what you are doing incorrectly, we can't give you any tips on how to remedy it. What exact steps / movements do you make with your hands, feet, etc.

Spellcheck destroyed my post. I was saying to YouTube duckdiving videos. That and to not overthink it. You push the board under the wave as it comes then look up and come up with the board under you when it passes. There is some technical aspects, mainly learn to use your foot vs your knee (your board will thank you as well.). Size wise 32L should be a size you can get under with, just practice the methods.

First, DO NOT use your knee. Push down with the ball of your foot on the kick of the tail pad.
So after you "sink the board and go down with it"......... then what do you do ?
( BTW, a 5'10" is NOT a big board, especially if it's only 3 inches over your head. I hope you also aren't considering getting a 5'8" so that you can duck dive that easier. )

Okay, so now you're past the point where you've submerged the whole board under the water........ then what ?

There's a bit more to it than push down and float up. But it seems you're on right path. So why are you having a hard time with your 5'10" if you are able to fully submerge it and float up with it after the wave has past ?

It’s hard to duck dive it deep and dodge the whitewash while keeping it down.
