BTW some help on choosing boards and technique etc still welcome!

Hi Gordon

Good lad!! Fistral is a good beach (best beach in Cornwall is debatable) but you will get a good lesson there - I know people who have started there and they love it!

If you want some advice on boards etc - check out some of the posts titled things like 'Beginner seeking advice' etc.

I have posted board advice on lots of different threads so you could click my name and 'find all posts by SinistaPenguin'

If you have any more questions, post them here - loads of people will get back to you!

Cheers

Hi Gordon

Once you're hooked on surfing, you should head down to Sennen Cove near lands end and check it out - I had the perfect session here - long rides and dolphins out back.

Can't beat it!!

hey simeon
I find places futher up North Cornwall is better. Widemouth Bay which is near Bude is good but can still get crowded in peak summer. Polzeath is a nice beach but again can get crowded. There are places around the Bude which are quiet. I find looking on an OS map is good for finding secret spots.
cheerios dudes
