First wave

Postby BillyD » Mon Sep 30, 2019 9:19 pm

After wanting to try surfing for decades I finally had my first lesson and caught my first waves in Nags Head. Was up for maybe a total of 7 seconds but was awesome and am totally hooked. Can’t wait to get back in the water

Great stuff, you sound hooked.
Reminded me of my first, after the beach tutorial first whitewash wave I paddled for I was up on the 9ft foamy. Great feeling.

Another life ruined, as I heard a surf coach once say at the end of a beginners lesson to her ‘stoked’ student

Haha I loved how the best rides I caught were while I was underwater and a wave caught the board I was leashed too. I love that even if you wipe out you are still going for a ride

First wave was awesome. Last wave will never become last. Lucky to experience all this.
