I got a hat like that too. Surprised that you're wearing sunglass. I'm worried about losing them.

They're Seaspecs. Designed for watersports, with a strap band that clasps in the back.
They stay on well, though I don't wear them abover 2-3 feet. Since the strap goes under the hat's strap, they are pretty much guaranteed never to fall off.
Only issue is they tend to get foggy if strap is tight or the hat's brim is not flipped up, like I wear it in the video. I like to flip the brim up anyway for better visibility while paddling.

Close outs aren’t ideal but certainly better than flat. Good practice for setting up to get down the line quickly.

Yes, I can shake off the rust on days where I just catch 50 close outs and get my timing down...and every once in a while a section appears as a bonus

Thanks for the motivation! I was on the fence about paddling out with this forecast....

CHANNEL: Wind swell blown out with a hot air full of cool breeze. NW ruffled and muffled as a dozen are out traveling sideways unsure of where to go. Little forward movement in the shin height as the current is churning and burning against the wind. If a paddle workout is what you seek, come on in!
