Best surfing education

Postby bmm » Fri Feb 09, 2018 4:31 pm

Dear friends,

I'm looking for the best and safest schools to get the best possible education in surfing, to ensure future long term relationship with them and progress in the sport.

Which ones would you recommend?

Thank you so much!

Location might be helpful, unless you're willing to travel the world to learn the basics.

This is an excellent free lesson.

Unfortunately, I don't know many surf schools or instructors. If I were going to take a lesson in Santa Cruz, I'd probably go to Richard Schmidt's surf school and hope to get Richard Schmidt as an instructor. If I were in Waikiki, I'd go with the one and only Waikikichan.

Thanks for the promotion there RinkyDink, but sadly I live in Japan now. There are very good world famous Waikiki Beach Boys surf instructors I can hook up anyone interested in learning how to surf or improve. However, I'm going back to Hawaii for a visit in March, so if anyone wants to surf together, let me know.

Here's the right "way" and the right "wave" to learn how to surf.

Here's the wrong way and wrong wave.

That's right. I keep forgetting that. Are you dreaming about surfing any particular spot in March that you want to reveal?

The right at Canoe's over the break called "Harada's Reef". I'll go over to Queen's surf break to, but I like Canoes better.

Thanks so much guys! I'm currently in Spain, but don't mind moving around a bit to attend a good school...
