Hey!
Im about to buy all the stuff you need to get started.
Here´s my list so far:

1. NSP 6´8 (hybrid/funboard) 3200kr (~228,68 £)
2. Ripcurl Classic 4/3mm SD 2000kr (~143£)
3. Boardbag 700kr (~50£)
4. Neilpryde 4000HC shoe 400kr (~29£)
5. Gloves 3mm 300kr (~21£)
6. Neilpryde PRO hood / balaclava 349kr (~25£)

= 7000kr or 500£

Is that expensive compared to uk prices? It seems kinda much just to get started. I havent even tried surfing, and here in sweden (yes yes, i live in sweden =P ) there arent any places where you can hire boards/wetsuits, and there are only a handful of shops who sell surfboards. Im sure ill like it though.

ps. i know that 6.8 might be a little bit small to get started with, but here in sweden there is hardly any secondhand boards, so i want something that i dont need to exchange in quite some time. The nsp board also seem quite good to travel with.

Stay stoked :)

/Eric

Hey Eric,

Welcome to the board! That seems like a pretty sweet-ass list there, so don't worry! You might find the NSP shortboard harder to start out with than if you had a bigger board, but like you said you gotta think for the long-term...and if sweden is as bad as you say it is for equipment then that seems like a sensible idea.

As far as prices go, all those prices are pretty reasonable, about the same as in England i reckon.

Keep us informed of how your progress goes, and mail surf-patrol with any pics of swedish breaks!!!!
